Execution and evaluation go hand-in-hand. While you are executing your tactical plan during the course of a typical day’s work, you should also be gathering and interpreting feedback information to ensure you’re being as efficient and effective as possible.
The evaluation process should answer two questions:
1.Am I doing things right?
2.Am I doing the right things?
Diligent evaluation, including development of key performance indicators and progress metrics, will enable you to see when a course-correct is warranted.
Consider This: The world is constantly in motion, and this includes your customers and the competition. The right things to do today might not be the right things to do tomorrow.
